An online radio station needs people to be able to listen instantly, without installing software or figuring out streaming links. And to stand out among thousands of internet stations, sounding good is not enough: it needs personality.
I built a web player with a retro aesthetic inspired by 1980s audio equipment, using the browser Audio API for live playback and animations that react to interaction, so the visual experience matches the audio one.
Listening takes one click from any browser, with nothing to install. The project let me explore the intersection of retro aesthetics and modern audio APIs, creating an experience remembered for how it looks, not just how it sounds.
